All of our earwires and posts are either sterling silver, 14k gold, or lacquer coated, they typically don't cause any allergy issues, even for very sensitive customers. If you are extremely sensitive all hook type earrings can have the hooks substituted for surgical grade stainless or niobium for a small upcharge, email us and we will be glad to meet your needs.

All of our blades have been lacquer finished over the metal, all that's required for them is an occasional wipe with a non ammonia glass cleaner, or a soft dry cloth suitable for lenses. Any painted pieces can be cleaned with a mild detergent such as dish soap, and the bucktails and flies may be cleaned by dipping in a soapy water solution, rinsing gently with clean water, and hanging to dry, though cleaning them is not often required.

Well, some of them. The bucktail spinners, and flies are all high quality hand made lures. If you have a jeweled fly earring set, you can crack the jewels off and catch fish on them, though we'll gladly sell you matching flies if you want to try them out. The Blade pieces are not lures, but lure parts. They are of the highest quality, and would be found on the big money tournament grade custom made baits. All of our Crystals are from Swarovski, and our pearls are natural freshwater pearls.

We HIGHLY recommend removing any jewelry, especially ours before swimming! Salt water and chlorine in pools can dull any jewelry, and fish are attracted to shiny things in general. However, if you don't remove any other jewelry for any other reason, remember, some fish have teeth, and these designs are based on designs that trigger a fish's natural instinct to bite. Though it ended well I've actually had one customer report being followed around by several Barracuda while snorkeling in Crooked Island, Bahamas, after forgetting to remove a pair of our earrings.
